These exercises are designed to enable you to cope with overwhelming feelings or to help you to explore your feelings over certain issues. Please bear in mind that while self-help exercises can be very useful, the exercises and information below are designed as a holding strategy until you can talk to a counsellor, if that is what you feel you need. With luck, this may be all that you need to help you deal with an issue or crisis but if you find that some of the feelings emerging are too painful and difficult to deal with alone, please contact a counsellor.
