Cancer Support in
Poitou Charentes
CSIPC
is an official 'Association' under the law of July 1st
1901. It has been in existence since 2002 and is now the
principal contact in France for several leading UK Cancer
Charities. We have considerable support from the medical
profession both consultants and GP's. Following a major
publicity drive in both local French papers and 'The News,' we
are developing contacts in many Departments out-side the
Poitou Charentes. If you are thinking of setting up a Cancer
Support group in your area, and would like to draw on our
experience, we will be very pleased to help you. Feel free to
contact the President, Linda Shepherd. Tel: 05 45 29 08 93

From Neville
I
have recently been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and have
received a lot of helpful information from the Prostate Cancer
charity
www.prostate-cancer.org.uk
My daughter is doing the Great North Run in their benefit and
she has passed me a copy of their 'Tool Kit'. A fantastic
source of information. I had my operation on 29th
April. There is also a confidential helpline at 0033 845 300
8383 which is open 10a.m. - 4 p.m Monday to Friday and 7 p.m.
- 9 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Hello. Is there anyone, English-speaking, in the Alpes Maritimes who would be
interested in meeting and talking. We don't necessarily want to start a group now, but
perhaps later.
Thanks, Nucha & David
