There is an office with volunteers opened a year ago in Morlaix, address 9, boulevard Saint Martin in 29600 Saint Martin des Champs, tel : 02 98 63 92 27, email ligue.contrelecancer@wanadoo.fr ; the volunteers have permanences all week round ie. people can drop in for a cup of tea or coffee and speak to some one who has either gone through this disease or a close parent of his/hers At the moment there are 6 active volunteers and we organise once a month a theme-evening ("les causeries") open to anyone interested, on a specific theme and animated by a professional also aesthetic advice once a month available (need to make appointment) with a (volunteer) professional beauty counsellor. Astrid Alemany-Dusendschön offers FREE counselling. The volunteers may not speak English very well, but Astrid can receive any English speaking patient. Morlaix) as a psychologist for cancer patients - telephone number of

Also Astrid works with the "équipe mobile douleur
soins palliatifs" of the hospital of Morlaix, that goes and visits any
patients and families in the hospital of Morlaix and the Clinique de la
Baie (Morlaix), Clinique de Kerléna and Clinique de Perharidy (latter
both located in Roscoff) upon request, for any palliative support and
any query around relieving pain (with morphine if necessary). The
team is composed by 2 doctors, a nurse and a psychologist, located in
Morlaix hospital, tel. 02 98 62 62 83.
